In the whirlwind of the holidays, I haven’t been able to sit down and put this together until now! But I wanted to make sure I stayed consistent with last year and deliver my 2nd Annual Report for 2024. A couple of callouts in reading the details: ✨Highlights - Looking back, I can’t believe how much I ended up accomplishing this year! I doubled down on my 2024 goals to find more opportunities to instruct workshops and took on unexpected opportunities with large scale commissions that I would love to do more of in 2025. 💸 Expenses - Without the start up costs of the home studio and community studio membership fees, YoY expenses were significantly lower. Shifting my highest expense category to Materials, mainly for clay and glaze. Raw material costs unfortunately increased by 10-20% YoY. Lastly, consistent with last year’s report, labor is not included in these expense calculations. 📈 Sales - While Markets is still my highest sales category, my YoY growth largely came from Workshops (+668%), going from instructing 1 workshop in 2023 to 10 workshops in 2024. I also noticed, the majority of my sales in 2023 came from 4 months, which lined up with markets & commission deposits, whereas my sales in 2024 were more consistently spread across 9 months. 📱Social - As I worked on scaling my business in 2024, one thing I struggled with was content creation in order drive a strong social presence. In this report, I saw how stagnant my account has become. While my follower count does not determine the worth of my art and skill, I do want to take on a new challenge of growing my online community, as well as my local network. 🏃🏻‍♀️2025 Goals - Looking ahead, I am focused on time management, mindfullness, and reducing burnout. This will help me stay creative and engaged, giving me the capacity & headspace to take on the bigger projects I look forward to doing!
